Best Ghost Footage on YouTube

Hunting for ghosts seems to have a growing appeal. More and more ghost hunting groups are forming and some of those groups offer tips and opportunities to tag along on their trips. Others offer classes and social networking connections.

While a lot of the "ghost" videos available on YouTube are obviously a product of creative editing, there are a few that appear to be genuine. One of the most unusual was taken by someone I met when I offered to help with a haunted house at an area University.

I included this information recently in a piece for the Examiner because it has something that can be seen. What it is -- well, that's a good question. Audrey Quaile, a Kansas City ghost hunter, captured the amazing footage at the Lemp Mansion in St. Louis.

An avid ghost tracker, Audrey says she got started when she saw photos a friend had taken at a haunted bridge - each had an unexplainable mist. She and her daughter set out to see if they could capture the same effect and their results were even better.

Then they found out they went to the wrong bridge. They were hooked.

Audrey says her involvement in ghost hunts has taught her to look outside the box. She understands a lot more and she is no longer afraid of the unknown or of death. She says seeing first hand things she would never have believed has helped her to become much more open minded.

-- And another video that appears to be legit... not because he captures a glimpse of a ghost but because his dog is very uncomfortable in the space. He also offers a few details about ghost activity in the home.

Pets can and do sense ghosts. When in doubt, don't ignore the pet and act like there is nothing there. Given that they sense a few things we don't, this is another instance of taking their perception at face value and letting that make the case for you.
