There is no doubt an overblown "me" thing is the kiss of death for a we, us, they, anything else thing (also known as Narcissism). The latest research indicates that state of "being" (self focused or other focused) is visible in the brain.
Pay attention to the "It's all about Me" club - you will soon notice a correlation. When you are out of sight or neglecting to fill the IV drip of self-adoration, ME has no time for you and finds a replacement to fill the void.
If the focus is on other and Source as being of equal or greater value, ME can see the bigger picture and hold that in focus. (Even if I/you leave the room.) The result: a shift in presence to become more compassionate, confident and able to reach out to include you or others as a WE, US and ONE; remembering that we are all connected and what we do to others impacts/comes back to us/ME.
Or... : What Me do to Me (in intent, thought and/or deed) comes back to Me...
If your present condition involves navigating a Me focused challenge, only time will tell. But that insight is worth waiting for.
I can say - one of the most unexpected and truly miraculous after-effects of a spiritual epiphany, is the instantaneous shift in presence and resulting ongoing awareness that there is no separation - we are one. As a result, if I could have one wish granted that I thought might be of value for the greater good, it would be: I wish spiritual oneness epiphanies to be contagious.

Window Dressing and the Power to Change
If we could stop time, none of us would have a future. Then again, the perpetual present could be incredible. It might otherwise be called Eternity.
When I am working with my guides, I have to do the homework. They can offer an assist or a redirect but they cannot do my work for me. And often, for added emphasis when I am working, they will become quiet to allow me to develop my own perspective and then chart my course from what I have come up with as a result of that effort.
They do check in to reassure me of their constant presence but in all other manner, the interaction stops.
One recent event was a reminder. I was struggling through a difficult life circumstance. The guided information was that I had to create just such an event in order to see the manifest result. Only then could I understand the origin of the outcome as due to my own subconscious action/input (attraction-resonance) and shift my direction, focus and future action.
No amount of wishing, hoping, or dreaming could produce the result I desired until I had incorporated within me the muscle to redirect my thought. And that is a work in progress.
They remind me - it's all window dressing. The work I have done and do with my guides continues to reinforce my belief that we are constantly creating events at all levels. The more aware of that creative ability we become, the more levels we can learn to interconnect. And that is an absolutely incredible state of creation to be in.

Reinvent yourself and watch your world explode into a huge fireworks display of miracles. When you are able to do that - you will never allow that victim role to attach itself to you again.
