Shows are daily at 9 pm central time

Conscious Living with Wendy Garrett is produced by Empower Radio and featured on empoweradio, iheart, itunes, stitcher and various independent youtube channels. Programs cover a wide range of Mind-Body-Spirit/Alternative Awareness/PSI topics, including: Consciousness, UFO, Metaphysics, Paranormal and Energy Medicine.

Ongoing personal experiences with extraordinary and unexplained seen/unseen phenomena underscore my belief in a world abundant with wonders we haven't yet begun to fathom.

Experiencers, via their unique encounters, give us glimpses and clues to what potentials creation has yet to reveal when we are willing to listen to the call of the muse and curious enough to table our fear and explore the unknown inner and outer limits of being.

And the answers are there, teasing us in quirks, quarks and fantastic anomalies.

My proof
- and that is the whole point of this reality thing being very personal and unique to the individual experiencer - the light beside me goes off for a moment and then comes on again as I am composing this introduction, underscoring the "quirk" factor and the representation of the ever-present, unseen support in this adventure.

Thank you for your interest and for listening. I hope you enjoy the shows! - wendy ... and the nightlights ;)

Braving the World of Divination - Weekend Playtime

McQueen -"Feeling like maybe you're not coming back? Everyone gets that. And how does 'everyone' deal with it? They go out, and then come back. Or they don't."

Vansen - "Thanks, for keeping it simple."

McQueen - "Vansen! There's no such thing as predetermination. And there's no such thing as luck. You make things happen! Keep your head together and don't make mistakes, and you'll come back. It's that simple."

- McQueen and Vansen, "The Darker Side of the Sun."

We can all tap into a higher power for information and guidance. Some of it may even be prophetic. Putting a lid on ego can increase the potential for success. You will be right and you will be wrong. And that will be the best you can do. IF you always have to be right, you (your ego) will taint the outcome.

Divination is helpful in daily living. It is a matter of allowing yourself to be a clean slate. There can be no attachment, investment or personal bias (no ego) in regard to whatever answer you seek. You have to become open in order to "see" beyond the present manifestation. The two most important tools required are detachment and objectivity. You accept the "answer" first, then you can work to alter it or go with it.

Learning how to divine or channel is extremely helpful in developing awareness of how all of those personal views in regard to what we think we know skew our daily perceptions of reality and add limitations to the achievement of our full potential. Fear of death also skews divination ability. Acknowledge your fear and put it on the back burner when you are trying to "see" a potential event.

When you finally learn how to avoid projecting your belief or your fear on the outcome, you are on the way to getting results. Buddhism offers objective perspective and effective methods for letting go of attachment and fear. The blog, A Buddhist Perspective touches on this and other insightful practices.

--- Yes, the big answer is that, no matter what path you travel, you must have your own baggage in order to be of any use to others for purposes of divination. You will never lose it, nor will you achieve perfection (while you are living), but it has to be in order to allow you to work around it and provide the most objective information. No matter how great the service you provide or aspire to provide, you can't duck your personal homework.

The answer, in regard to the future, is neither good nor bad. It is looking through a window and being given a glimpse of the potential outcome. The details will be filled in the living. What is, is at that moment and all is fluid. Those who are given the "answer" can bring it into being or shift to avoid it. They retain power and free will. That is why there will be "wrong" answers.

Even if you never work up to mastering the ability, in learning or trying to learn, one of the first hurdles to overcome is projecting fear into the potential outcome. When you realize you can't see around fear, you learn to see through it. Fear is a projection. We can live it or identify it and address it...and get it out of the way.

As for those who can fortell, when it comes to seeing the future - you never know whose eyes you are looking through. Assumptions are best left to those who know everything.

Foretelling requires extreme comfort with the unknown and the unprovable; it thrives on contradictions and answers that don't make sense. It is putting your hand into the primordial muck and pulling out what is as yet unborn; then removing your hand and allowing the muck to work it into being or not and, in so doing, you may have tainted the outcome. Who knew? It's a lot like Science Fiction. And that is just the beginning.

---This is the home page of the site for the opening quote. I like her variety and the webring she belongs to.
--- Cultivate the future, another Buddhist perspective.

Buddhism offers release from the Monkey Mind.
- "One who is liberated thinks what he wishes and does not think any thought he does not wish to."
