Conscious Living with Wendy Garrett is produced by Empower Radio and featured on empoweradio, iheart, itunes, stitcher and various independent youtube channels. Programs cover a wide range of Mind-Body-Spirit/Alternative Awareness/PSI topics, including: Consciousness, UFO, Metaphysics, Paranormal and Energy Medicine.

Ongoing personal experiences with extraordinary and unexplained seen/unseen phenomena underscore my belief in a world abundant with wonders we haven't yet begun to fathom.

Experiencers, via their unique encounters, give us glimpses and clues to what potentials creation has yet to reveal when we are willing to listen to the call of the muse and curious enough to table our fear and explore the unknown inner and outer limits of being.

And the answers are there, teasing us in quirks, quarks and fantastic anomalies.

My proof
- and that is the whole point of this reality thing being very personal and unique to the individual experiencer - the light beside me goes off for a moment and then comes on again as I am composing this introduction, underscoring the "quirk" factor and the representation of the ever-present, unseen support in this adventure.

Thank you for your interest and for listening. I hope you enjoy the shows! - wendy ... and the nightlights ;)

Music, Lyrics and Spirit Muses

Working with guides is like having a divine chorus. Each has a special way of offering information or insight into a situation. Sometimes it can be confusing, but most times, it is helpful. And when it gets too loud, they can be tuned out.

One of my favorite guides likes to give me songs to convey a point. In this way, I get information spelled out that I might have no other way of accessing or might be too difficult for me to translate through the normal course of channeling.

Guides are limited to working with you in ways that you can understand. Education or aptitude for certain abilities does play a role. They are then able to come up with creative means of shorthand to get a certain point across. In this case, mine can take advantage of my musical background.

An example:
I am thinking about a person and trying to understand what might be a better way of understanding what and how they approach life or their story. Then a song title pops into mind. It might be that the title will spell out exactly what I need to know. If not, I run through the lyrics to get the answer.

Recently, the person I was focusing on in regard to a perplexing situation was matched to a song. The thing about this is that I don't have to know the song. All I have to do is focus on a person and be open to what I am given. The song popped in and the answer was revealed.

Without knowing anything personal or background details, the song will offer a scenario and give me information I can work with. It is just one way I have found that my guides have learned to help me to access insight through non-traditional channels (a play on words).

I focused and the words came...It was a just a title. At first I wasn't sure why I had the thought then I realized it was a song. Indeed, I had heard it years ago but I never really listened to the lyrics. When the lyrics were added to the equation in this case, everything made sense.

What Kind of Fool Am I? (Frank Sinatra)

What kind of fool am I, who never fell in love?
It seems that I’m the only one I have been thinking of.
What kind of man is this? An empty shell, a lonely cell
In which an empty heart must dwell?
What kind of lips are these that lied with every kiss?
That whispered empty words of love that left me alone like this?
Why can't I fall in love like any other man?
And maybe then I'll know what kind of fool I am.
What kind of clown am I? What do I know of life?
Why can't I cast away the mask of play and live my life?
Why can't I fall in love, till I don't give a damn?
And maybe I'll know what kind of fool I am.

The song offered a beautiful concrete scenario - adding insight to a very real life situation.

The kicker in this instance, is another song. That sealed the deal--

AH! Sweet Mystery of Life - from Thoroughly Modern Millie (Songs of Victor Herbert)

MR. GRAYDON: Ah! Sweet mystery of life
At last I've found thee. Ah! I know at last the secret of it all!

MISS DOROTHY: All the longing, seeking, striving, waiting, yearning
The burning hopes, the joy and idle tears that fall.

MR. GRAYDON: I've a very strange feeling I never felt before.
'Tis a kind of a grind of depression.

MISS DOROTHY: My heart's acting strangely; it feels rather sore. At least it gives me that impression.

MR. GRAYDON: My pulses leap madly without any cause. Believe me, I'm telling you truly.

MISS DOROTHY: I'm gay without pause, then sad without cause.

MR. GRAYDON: My spirits are truly unruly
For I'm falling in love with someone
Some one girl. I'm falling in love with someone
Head awhirl!

BOTH: Yes, I'm falling in love with someone
Plain to see.

MR. GRAYDON: I'm sure I could love someone madly
If someone would only love me (They dance an impassioned if acrobatic pas de deux.)

BOTH: Yes, I'm falling in love with someone
Plain to see. I'm sure I could love someone madly
If someone would only love me.

And so it goes.
