Shows are daily at 9 pm central time

Conscious Living with Wendy Garrett is produced by Empower Radio and featured on empoweradio, iheart, itunes, stitcher and various independent youtube channels. Programs cover a wide range of Mind-Body-Spirit/Alternative Awareness/PSI topics, including: Consciousness, UFO, Metaphysics, Paranormal and Energy Medicine.

Ongoing personal experiences with extraordinary and unexplained seen/unseen phenomena underscore my belief in a world abundant with wonders we haven't yet begun to fathom.

Experiencers, via their unique encounters, give us glimpses and clues to what potentials creation has yet to reveal when we are willing to listen to the call of the muse and curious enough to table our fear and explore the unknown inner and outer limits of being.

And the answers are there, teasing us in quirks, quarks and fantastic anomalies.

My proof
- and that is the whole point of this reality thing being very personal and unique to the individual experiencer - the light beside me goes off for a moment and then comes on again as I am composing this introduction, underscoring the "quirk" factor and the representation of the ever-present, unseen support in this adventure.

Thank you for your interest and for listening. I hope you enjoy the shows! - wendy ... and the nightlights ;)

Ghost Tales of Weston

Some residents liked Weston, Missouri so much it seems they never left.

Billed as one of the most haunted locations in Northeast Missouri, Main Street Galleria in Weston is one of my favorite places to present.

This is my fourth year at the Ghost Tales of Weston and the ghosts tonight managed a cameo or two.

For reasons I won't get into here, the energy of the building has shifted a bit and it was much more active tonight. Active means better for ghost spotting.

Shortly after the evening tale-telling began and just as I sat back down to eat my salad, a teapot hurled itself to the floor. I didn't see it but Andy happened to be looking at the right moment and saw the area was clear at launch time. I did see the server as she attempted to retrieve the kamikaze teapot and several books tumbled off the shelf beside her. She hadn't touched them.

A bit perplexed, she gathered up the pile and set them away from the counter. Some of the guests wondered if it was staged? The response from owner Verna Treese indicates otherwise. Informed of the alleged hi-jinx after the fact, she said she wished she could have seen it.

Verna counts her time as Galleria owner now at 17 years. In that time, she has amassed a large and colorful collection of ghost stories from the area locals and is working on a book to share the history.

Most likely, she'll include details about the experiences of various ghost hunting groups who have paid the shop a visit and been rewarded with encounters.

The activity is ongoing throughout the shop and the identities are known for at least four of the resident ghosts.

One of the guests tonight said she came back because of an encounter about ten years ago when the top floor was still an antique shop. She says she was half way down the stairs when something made her stop.

The something was a presence she couldn't see and she was afraid to go forward but more afraid to return upstairs alone. She resorted to bravely charging through the presence and down the stairs.
This was her first time back. Several other Galleria encounters involve the stairs.

I also remember visiting the antique shop. The focus for me was a clown cookie jar. I decided the antiques in that store were exactly where they needed to be. Makes sense the Tea Room is a better venue.

Directly across the street, The Saint George Hotel is another popular ghost haunt, noted for noisy spirit children reported to be heard roaming the halls.

You'll have to ask Verna for details on the haunted site at the campground.

Locals have lots of stories to share. Spend any time in Weston and you'll come to realize the ghosts may well outnumber the living.

That's certainly a plus for the site seers hoping for a spooky encounter.

Here's a testimonial from another guest who had an encounter during one of the Ghost Tale presentations. (Link)

Make a reservation now for the next engagement, October 25th and 26th.

Seating is limited to about 60 guests.

This review covers Galleria ghosts and food.

Another Weston ghost.

Don't worry if you're booked and can't find time for ghost events during Halloween, ghosts may not be top of mind for most of us during the rest of the year but they are still hanging out at their favorite haunts waiting for you to visit at your convenience.

Lots of spooky to go around.
