When Jim Harold (listen to the interview) launched his Campfire show in 2009, he had no idea it would take off the way it has. He soon discovered that people love to share their ghost encounters. (I couldn't read enough as a kid, Fate Magazine was my favorite!)
You'll find a great variety of stories in book number 2, True Ghost Stories: Jim Harold's Campfire 2. And he keeps adding more to the mix. For his newest book(s) check the website.
Ghost encounter opportunities I can recommend and where I have also been an active presenter include Ghost Tales of Weston at the Main Street Galleria in Weston, Missouri. Review from 2009.
Weston, Missouri has a very colorful history with no lack of ghosts running about. The Galleria has a few of their own and the stories of the evening include plenty of examples of unsuspecting locals and tourists alike who have had a change of mind after a personal encounter.
-- Like this one - [We even had our own brush with the unexplained while we were there. Scott and I joked about the haunted desk behind me and we turned around to study it. I turned back to the table to talk to him and then looked back at the desk again.
The desk chair had moved. I was sure it was sitting in a different position than it had been a moment ago. I asked Scott and when he looked at the desk his eyes got big and he agreed the chair was in a different position.]
-- Ghosts keep life (and the afterlife) interesting. Even more interesting, judging by the popularity of my show downloads: ETs and UFOs. Some basic background in the History Channel link - if you are new to the topic. Warning, it's a bit dated for those who have been following along since the Roswell and Barney and Betty Hill cases became public. History Channel/UFO
Here's an interview highlight from the Conscious Living archives: Ardy Sixkiller Clarke, author of the fascinating adventure story Encounters with Star People.
Brief Bio - Dr. Ardy Sixkiller Clarke, a Professor Emeritus at Montana State University, has dedicated her life and career to working with indigenous populations.
Ghost stories, ET stories, Supernatural, Paranormal, Metaphysics, Anomaly and/or Category Unknown. If you have a story, by now you should have a good idea you are not alone.
I will continue to follow and add new content updates as I add guests to the list for Wendy's Coffeehouse. Booked for an interview in June is a fascinating follow up on the Roswell case. The Children of Roswell.
-- Reading the book now and looking forward to talking with the authors. Interview date: Saturday, 6/11/16 at 6 am central time. Tune in or catch it in the podcast download.
Wendy's Coffeehouse debut is June 4, 2016 at 6 am on FM 103.7 and AM 710 KCMO in Kansas City. My first topic: The Aztec UFO Incident. Find out why it's even better than Roswell.
Broadcasting live and local in the heartland of the USA, an absolutely perfect setting for chasing quirky topics and Ghosts. Great stories are born here. Indeed, an all time best-seller featuring Kansas as a backdrop put us on the map.
I'd like to say my feet are firmly planted in the land of Ahhhs... See you on the flip side...
